What time is the check-in/check-out?

The check-in starts at 14:00 and will last all day/night, but please let us know if you will arrive after midnight so we know to hold your reservation. The check-out time is before 11:00. If you arrive before 14:00 you may wait in the hostel and/or leave your luggage in our secure luggage room while you explore the city.

Is it possible to check-in after midnight?

Yes, it is possible to check in any time of night. But, please notify us if you will arrive after midnight so that we know to hold your reservation.

Is there a curfew?

No, there is no curfew. You can walk in and out all day and night long. Note: The terrace outside closes at 23.00.

Does the reception close?

No, the reception is open 24 hours.

How do we make a reservation?

What about groups?

If you are visiting Amsterdam with a large group (20+), you can make a request for a group booking on our website, or write an e-mail to info@dutchieshostel.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible with an offer!

How much does a taxi cost from Airport Schiphol to Dutchies Hostel?

A taxi costs no more than €45.00.

Is there breakfast provided?

No, we don’t serve breakfast. There is a supermarket (Lidl) across the street which has its own bakery, and we have a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals.

Are there lockers in the rooms?

Yes, there are lockers in the rooms for your valuables. You may borrow a padlock for free.

Are the bathrooms in the rooms?

No, the showers and toilets are separate from the rooms. They can be found in the hallways next to the rooms. We do have separate male and female showers and toilets.

Are animals allowed at the hostel?

No, we do not accept animals at the hostel.

Is there a place where I can store my luggage?

Yes, we have a safe storage room for luggage which you can use free of charge.

Are towels provided?

You can rent a towel at the reception for €3,00.

Are linens provided?

Yes, your bed will already be made with clean linens when you arrive, at no extra charge.

Is there any internet connection available?

Yes, we provide free Wi-Fi. It can be used in all the rooms as well as in the common areas. We also have a guest laptop that is free to use.

Is there a parking lot available at the hostel? How much does it cost?

We have our own parking lot. Parking costs €15.00 per day and operates on a first come first serve basis. If you park at Dutchies Hostel you will receive a parking permit. We kindly ask you to place this permit so it is visible on your dash-board.

Are there bikes for rent at the hostel?

Yes, you can rent bicycles at Dutchies. It costs €16.00 to rent a bike for 24 hours. You will have to leave a refundable deposit of €50.00. The deposit can be paid with either cash or credit card.

Are there printing facilities?

Yes, if you want to print something you can send an e-mail to info@dutchieshostel.com with an attachment which we can print. Printing is free.

Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, we do have laundry service for €8.00 (wash & dry). However it is not self-service. The staff will do your laundry for you and you can pick it up when it is done.

Are there any designated areas for smokers?

All rooms at Dutchies Hostel are strictly NON SMOKING, but you can smoke outside on the terrace. If you smoke inside, you will be charged €150.00 (includes electronic cigarettes).

What about drugs?

Smoking of marijuana/hashish is allowed outside. Use of hard drugs is prohibited. If you possess or use hard drugs in our hostel, you will be told to leave the hostel immediately.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Yes, we have a minimum age of 16 years old.

Is there an upper age limit?

The recommended maximum age for our guests is 40. However, everybody above 16 is always welcome at Dutchies. Note: All beds in the hostel are bunk beds, and lower beds cannot be promised.
