What time is the check-in/check-out?

The check-in starts at 14:00 and will last all day/night. The check-out time is before 11:00. If you arrive before 14 o’clock you may wait in the hostel. You are also welcome to leave your luggage in our luggage room until your room is ready.

Is it possible to check-in after midnight?

Yes, you can. Please notify us if so.

Is there a curfew?

No, there is not. You can walk in and out all day and night long. Note: The terrace outside closes at 23.00.
Also, we expect that our guests won’t be loud after 22:00, especially outside. People are living on the floors above the hostel, so not only for their consideration, but also for the other people staying at Dutchies, guests must be calm when they outside.

Does the reception close?

No, it doesn’t. The reception is open for 24 hours.

How do we make a reservation?

What about groups?

Visiting Amsterdam with a large group (+20)? Make a request for a group booking on our website or write an e-mail to info@dutchieshostel.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible with an offer!

How much does a taxi cost from Airport Schiphol to Dutchies Hostel?

A taxi cost no more than €40.00, always ask for the meter to keep running.

Is there breakfast provided in the morning?

No, we don’t serve breakfast. There is a supermarket (Lidl) across the street and we have a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals.

Are there lockers in the rooms?

Yes, there are. During the check-in you will be provided with a free padlock.

Are there bathrooms in the rooms?

No, the showers and toilets are separate from the rooms. They can be found in the same corridors as the rooms. We do have separate male and female showers and toilets.

Are animals allowed at the hostel?

No, we do not accept animals at the hostel.

Is there a place where I can store my luggage?

Yes, we do have a safe storage room for luggage and offer this service for free.

Are towels provided?

You can rent a towel at the reception for €2.50

Are linen provided?

Yes, your bed will be made with clean linen when you arrive. Please remove your linen when you depart and leave them on your bed. The bedlinen is included in the price.

Is there any internet connection available?

Yes, we provide free WiFi. It can be used in all the rooms as well as in the common areas. We also have a guest laptop that is free to use.

Is there a parking lot available at the hostel? How much does it cost?

We have our own parking lot. Parking is €10.00 per day and is based upon availability. When parking at Dutchies Hostel you will receive a parking ticket. We kindly ask you to put this ticket visible underneath the window of your car.

Are there bikes for rent at the hostel?

Yes, you can rent bicycles at Dutchies. It is €12.50 to rent it for 24 hours. You will have to leave a deposit of €50.00. The deposit can be paid with either cash or credit card.

Are there printing facilities?

Yes, if you want to print something you can send an e-mail to info@dutchieshostel.com with an attachment which we can print. Printing is free.

Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, we do have laundry service for €5.00 (wash & dry). However it is not self-service, the staff will do it for you.

Are there any designated areas for smokers?

No, all rooms at Dutchies Hostel are strictly NON SMOKING. For smoking you must go outside. If a smoking violation occurs in a room or common area, you will be charged €150.00 non-refundable fee (includes electronic cigarettes).

What about drugs?

Smoking of marijuana/hashish is allowed outside. Use of hard drugs is prohibited. If you possess or use hard drugs in our hostel we will check you out immediately.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, we have a minimum age of 16 years old. Only when accompanied by a parent or a guardian do we allow children from the age of 12 years to stay in Dutchies.

Is there an age limit?

The recommended maximum age for our guests is 40. However, everybody above 16 is always welcome at Dutchies. Note: we provide bunkbeds only. Lower beds cannot be promised.
